It has been over 16 years since I began my career as a coach, educator and consultant. I provide coaching and education to individuals and groups affected by ADD / ADHD through my company, Cummins Coaching and Training. Prior to starting my company, I provided academic support to students at Boston University. In this role, I coached students individually, oversaw a peer tutoring program and presented workshops. The workshop included topics, such as self-management, academic self-concept, time management and goal setting. Before working in higher education, I taught middle school and high school.>
I am dedicated to offering individuals with ADD / ADHD support through individual and group coaching, as well as through my teaching and speaking. I have presented workshops and taught classes in person and over the phone through the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, Attention Deficit Disorder Resources and Newton Community Education. The value that my clients and people who attend my seminars receive is best illustrated by their own words.
My mission is to help people with ADD / ADHD find their place and reach their goals. I help teens, college students, adults with ADD and parents with children affected by ADD / ADHD uncover the answers to their questions and, therefore, the means of success that I believe lies within everyone.
In order to help my clients to the best of my ability, I am dedicated to my own professional growth as a certified coach. Toward this end, I completed training, both the Core Co-Active Coaching and Certification programs, through The Coaches Training Institute, which is accredited through the International Coach Federation. I also took courses,“Coaching Students with AD/HD: Levels I and II,” at Landmark College.
I continue to develop professionally, in part, through my affiliations with the Attention Deficit Disorder Association ( ADDA), Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD ) and ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO).
My BA is in economics from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and my MA is in Experiential Education and Leadership from the University of Minnesota-Mankato.
