Below is an overview of what you can expect to take away from each session.
Week 1 – Oh, That Is Why I Do That! Is There a Proven Treatment For That?
In this first session you will get an overview of the symptoms and causes of ADHD according to current research and you will come away with a better understanding of your ADHD brain. This information will empower you to look at your ADHD differently and see your capacity for change in a more positive light.
You will also get the scoop on the plethora of other credible treatment options (backed by research) and how they can help you manage your ADHD. Also, learn about the importance of using your strengths when working with your ADHD.
After this session you will be in a better position to make an informed decision on creating a holistic treatment plan that will work for you. I will also provide you with a list of resources so you can get more information, if you want to dig a little deeper.
Also, learn what others have tried and the results they received.
Week 2 – “Don’t Hem Me In…”
Too much structure may leave you feeling like you need to get out of Dodge. But the right kind of structure can help you get your important stuff done. You already know this, right? Maybe you’ve tried to create this on your own. But have not had enough success.
You will come away from this session with techniques you can try and pitfalls to avoid in order to adopt the must have tools and habits for using these tools that will work for you and your ADHD.
You will also learn the techniques and tools others use to help them to add structure in their work and home lives.
Week 3 – “Maybe I’ll Do That. No I’ll Do That. I Can’t Do This Until…”
Getting your important work done can be a challenge for many people, for sure. There are so many options, after all!
But the decision making and planning needed to accomplish all your important work may be particularly hard for you because of your ADHD. Learn why you may be having a challenging time planning, as well as the best practices you need to do this with greater ease. More specifically, you will learn how to implement the keystone habits of weekly and daily planning, as well as how to make decisions about what work to do in the moment.
As with all of our sessions, you will learn from others what they have found that helps them plan and make decisions about what work to do
Week 4 – “I Can Do It Later…”
If you are like most Adults with ADHD, I bet procrastination ranks right up there in the top 3 behaviors you would like to change. Good news. Even if you are a diehard procrastinator now, you can change this.
In this session you will learn about the reasons for your procrastination, some of which may be related to your ADHD. Understanding your particular flavor of procrastination will help you create solutions that are best suited for you.
Then we will explore various creative solutions you can use to address the reasons you procrastinate in the first place.
Hear what others have tried and successfully used to counter their procrastination.
Week 5 – “I Had A Plan, But…”
“Oh, there goes the squirrel…” How many times have you heard that?! Sometimes, it makes sense to throw caution to the wind, get rid of the plan and follow your instincts. But how about when you want to manage your time better so you can follow your plan? But distraction get in your way.
Even with the best of plans, there are many ways you can get derailed from following through on your intentions. Learn about the various ways adults with ADHD get distracted. And come away with strategies and tools you can use to help you manage distractions and execute on what is important to you.
And, of course, you will find out the best practices others use for dealing with distractions in their life and following through on their plans.
Week 6 – “I Didn’t Mean That!”
For adults with ADHD communicating can be a veritable landmine at times.
- saying what you do not mean
- talking too little
- talking too much
- not being able to follow a conversation
- feeling overwhelmed
- getting distracted
Sound familiar? You are not alone.
In this session you will learn how your communication challenges may be related to your ADHD and about techniques to help you communicate better.
And, as always, hear from others how they manage their communication challenges.

If you would like more individual attention, you can choose the option that includes three individual coaching sessions and unlimited email. With this option you will be able to meet with me via phone 1-1 so we can focus only on you and your concerns.

This is a great option if you want to dive a little deeper into topics covered in the group or need help implementing the information in a way that suits your unique needs. You may also want to use the 1-1 coaching support to address topics not covered in the group sessions.

During each of the six 75 minute sessions we will focus and take a deep dive into a specific topic (see above), so you come away with concrete strategies you can use immediately and down the road.
Q: How can I be sure this will not be another one of those “talking heads” webinars where my attention just drifts away?
Before each session I will send you a handout to help you attend and take notes so you can get the most value out of each session. If there is a relevant short reading, I will send that along, too, so you can think about the topic beforehand and formulate questions, if you have any. It is not homework! Just a helpful addition for those who might benefit from some pre-reading.
In the first part of each session I will deliver an interactive presentation via a webinar on the designated topic. No talking heads. Promise! I will solicit feedback from you and you will have opportunities to ask me questions throughout this first part.
In the second part of each session I will facilitate an open forum. You can ask questions of each other related to the topic. Don’t worry, as a seasoned former teacher, I will make sure people who want to participate have the chance. And, hopefully you will also share information based on your personal experiences connected to the topic.
Q: How many people will be in the group
I am limiting the group to a maximum of 15 people so everyone has a chance to participate.
Q: When will the group meet?
Thursdays at 12:00 pm EST on January 12, 19, 26 and February 2, 9, 16
Q: Where will we meet?
We will gather via phone and computer from the comfort of your own home or office. You will be able to simply click a link to access the visual portion and dial into a conference line for the audio/discussion portion.
If, on occasion, you do not have access to a computer, you can just participate via the conference line alone.
And stuff happens, I know. If you miss a session you will be able to access the recordings at your convenience.
Q: How much will this cost?
I really want to make this as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. That is why I made each offer so affordable. You can choose the level of support that best fits your needs and budget right now. See the chart directly above for the cost.
Q: Do I have to pay all once?
You can choose to pay all at once or in three installments.
Q: What if I just want to call in and don’t want to access the webinar?
You can choose to just call in, if you would like. Though, I think most people will find having access to the visual portion will add value. Totally up to you.

Q: Why are you capping enrollment for the premium option (includes coaching and email) at only 3 people?
I really do want to give back to our community so I can help more adults with ADHD. And I’m excited to be able to offer people additional support by offering the 1-1 coaching option. But I do not have the capacity to offer more coaching spots at this rate, which I have discounted for people who sign up for the group.
Q: When will we meet?
You will be able to schedule the 2 sessions with me during anytime after the group starts
Q: What will we talk about?
You can bring any agenda you would like to the coaching sessions. It does not have to be related to the topics covered in the group sessions. But it can, of course; maybe you would like to explore how the topic relates to you in more depth.
Q: How can I be sure I will benefit from the sessions?
So that you receive the most value possible out of each session I will provide you with a Preparation Form to send to me prior to each session. The form will serve as a guide to prepare yourself for your coaching appointment and help you to focus more clearly. It will also give me a heads up and add value to our session.
Q: How about accountability in between sessions?
This option also includes email during the time the group meets. I will send you follow-up notes after each session, which, among other things, will include the commitments you made. I will then follow up with you via email per any agreements we make during each session.
Q: What if I have questions or just want to share something with you between sessions?
You are always welcome to email me during the time the group meets. I will get back to you within 24 hours.
