Individual Coaching for ADHD Adults

Meet 1-1 to Get Customized Support

When You Want Working With Your ADHD To Be Easier

Reaching your goals when you have ADHD may seem daunting at times. You want to spend less time and effort trying to accomplish your personal and professional tasks. You want to reach your full potential and achieve a greater sense of balance and peace in your life. If this is what you want and you have been unable to accomplish it on your own, I can help you.

And You’ve Tried to Improve Your Situation On Your Own

I bet you’ve spent a fair amount of time scouring the internet for answers on how to manage your ADHD. Maybe you’ve bought a few books and read parts of them. Along the way, you asked yourself which of these sources is reputable and what information is accurate. It can be confusing at times. You’ve even tried some of the suggested strategies that you found in books or on the internet, but not long enough to see if they could work.

So, by now, your head may be spinning with all the information and options. There are still more task lists sitting on your desk than you care to think about. While you tried your best, you have gone as far as you can go on your own…

Marla’s help was astonishing. After only a few calls she seemed to have me figured out pretty well.

She called me on empty promises, pushed me just enough never too much, and together we came up with tools that actually work and which I actually use. She has an uncanny ability to know how far she can push me without ticking me off. Thanks to that I never felt pressure to lie about or excuse what I had done or how I was doing.

After living with ADD for many years I started believing that I was lazy, stupid, and crazy. Marla was able to convince me that I was none of these by helping me solve small issues and get a track record of success. Once those things were accomplished, many of the pieces sort of fell into place.

Marla was consistently supportive, positive and uncritical. I learned to honor the way I work best, and am more accepting of my ADD and other characteristics. Now I ask myself, how can I get what I need to get done without running against my own personality? After learning more about ADD from Marla, I don’t think of my challenges as a personal weakness. This change in my thinking allows me to better handle my challenges by thinking of strategies to manage them, rather than engaging in self blame!

What is The Process?

If you choose 1-1 coaching I will guide you through a process of creating a customized strategy to enable you take focused action and complete what is most important to you.

The method I use is based on proven strategies for creating lasting transformational change in adults with ADHD.

  • We will start wherever you are right now and move forward at a pace and in a manner that suits your unique needs.
  • Along the way, we will leverage your strengths and mitigate the challenges associated with your ADHD.
  • And it will not be just another quick fix.
  • Rather, the changes we create together will be tailored to your unique needs, allowing you to maintain them over the long run.

You may feel scattered now. I can provide the support, guidance, and accountability you need to figure out and implement the best practices that will help you focus and reach your goals.

Our ultimate goal together is to figure out your best practices, the ones that are uniquely suited to help you to take efficient and effective action.

But not just any action. We want to make sure that you are taking those actions that are in alignment with your goals and values.

So, our first step is to clearly identify your most important values and goals so we are sure the actions you are taking are the right ones.

This information will serve as our guidepost as we work together to enable you to operate most effectively in your personal and professional life.

You may come to coaching with a general goal, like becoming more productive and organized at work.

The best way to get to your general goals is to create concrete steps so that we have a clear vision of where we are going and we will know when we have gotten there.

To do this we will make your goals specific and measurable by drilling down into the specifics of what reaching your goals entails.

We will then focus our energy and time in achieving the specific details of your goal(s).

Once we know where we are going, the next step is to understand what will help you get there.

To determine this we will identify the factors in your environment that are currently helping or hindering you in reaching your goals, including, but not limited to

  • strengths
  • support systems
  • impact of your ADHD
  • current responsibilities

In doing so we will know what we need to address to make our work most effective.

Next we will identify what is needed to help you reach your goals, such as

  • learning new skills, like planning and prioritizing.
  • adopting the necessary systems and tactics.
  • choosing the right tools for your needs and style.

Then, through a process of experimentation and implementation, we will identify your best practices.

This will create the foundation of your customized strategy and will become the tool box you will use to achieve your current and future goals.

When you have reached your primary goals, and are ready to complete the most intensive stage of coaching, we will create a maintenance system for you.

This system will enable you to sustain your progress in your initial goals areas, as well as apply the best practices you have developed though coaching to future goal areas.

I definitely make better decisions now! I’ve even raised my prices. I now have money in savings! When we first spoke I was going to 0 every single month. Thank you so much for all of your help. Working with you was truly life-changing! You ROCK!
